Q&A: Why is Trans Union Credit Report Score 23 points lower than Equifax and Experian?

Question by : Why is Trans Union Credit Report Score 23 points lower than Equifax and Experian?
I want to refinance my loan and the banks in the area of the US where I live mostly pull the credit report from that specific source. So, why is it lower than the other two and how can I fix it? It has the exact same info as in the other two. I have all three reports with me. Should I go and hand them to the financial officer at the bank to show the incongruity?

Free copy of credit report when you’re disputing?

Question by Sarah: Free copy of credit report when you’re disputing?
Back in November I used up my free reports from 2 agencies for a 12-month period because Experian listed an account that wasn’t mine, so I requested my report from Equifax to compare. I disputed the account and the company (Sprint) gave me a lot of problems, so I disputed with Experian as well. I just got my report from the third agency (TransUnion) and the account isn’t listed, but I want to get another copy of my report from Experian to make sure it came off. I thought I was entitled to another free report since I was in the middle of a dispute, but I can’t figure out how to do that (the website maintaining telling me I already got my free report for the year). Do I have to call Experian?

You definitely need to call them. They should provide you with a free additional copy since you have disputes.

Q&A: Question about TransUnion free credit report?

Question by Smith K: Question about TransUnion free credit report?
Question about TransUnion free credit report?Hi everyone, I try to get a free credit report on annualcreditreport.com —-> TransUnion website. But I don’t know why it said:Privacy Protection The Identity Security System isn’t able to confirm your identity. Explanation: The Identity Security System confirms your identity through a series of questioned based on accounts and personal information contained in your Personal Credit Report. The system was unable to get enough information from the Personal Credit Report to complete this process. What to do: Please return to annualcreditreport.com and order your Personal Credit Report by phone or mail. I am sure all the information I enter is correct and I tried 6 times already, but I got the same message. I don’t want ot order by mail and phone, because I need to wait 2 -3 weeks. Can someone help me please?PS: I got a free report on equifax few day ago(I want a new on from TransUnion because I want to compare them). Is this the reason why I can not get the new report from TransUnion.

Best answer:

Answer by Sand Bag
You are doing everything correcting. I tried getting my reports from the 3 bureaus endured week and got the same message on TransUnion. Equifax and Experian processed just fine. I think there is a bug in the system.
